- Gently wipe the surface, then rinse thoroughly and dry immediately with a clean cloth.
2. Deep Cleaning (Monthly):
- Make a paste with 1 teaspoon baking soda and a few drops of water.
- Apply gently with a cotton swab, then rinse within 10 seconds to prevent residue.
3. Polishing:
- Use a professional jewellery polishing cloth specifically designed for gold-plated items.
- Polish in one direction to maintain the plating.
Important Precautions:
- Never use toothpaste, abrasive cleaners, or harsh chemicals.
- Avoid ultrasonic cleaners which can damage plating.
- Remove jewellery before swimming, showering, or applying cosmetics.
Storage Tip:
Keep your jewellery in a dry, airtight pouch or box to prevent tarnishing and minimise air exposure.
For Sterling Silver Jewellery
1. Regular Cleaning:
- Mix mild dish soap with warm water in a bowl.
- Soak the silver for 3-5 minutes.
- Gently scrub with a soft-bristle toothbrush (focus on crevices).
- Rinse under running water and dry immediately with a microfiber cloth.
2. Tarnish Removal:
- Use a silver polishing cloth for light tarnish.

3. Storage:
- Store in an anti-tarnish pouch or airtight container.
- Add a piece of chalk or silica gel packet to absorb moisture.
⚠️ Avoid:
- Toothpaste (too abrasive for pure silver).
- Bleach, ammonia, or chlorine (causes permanent damage).
- Wearing while swimming/showering (accelerates tarnishing).
